Daily Activities:
My blog post for connecting with parents will be me sharing what I did with the class on an everyday basis. I will post the blog after my class to share with the parents to let them know what their child has learned and are learning and the activities we did in class. The parent will have to be following my blog and they can always look back to other days to see what their child has learned. The grade level for this blog would be first grade and the blog would share the Youtube videos we watched about adding/subtracting/multiplication or any content that I feel this video could help the students. I think this would be beneficial to the parents because it will let them know what their students are learning so, if their student does need some extra help then if the parents want to then they can see what they are learning and try to help. It also will give them links to the videos or channels we might be using in class to give them an idea of what we are learning. I think it’s important because I think I would want to know what my student is doing during their time period at school and if my child needed help I would want all the resources I could get to help them. The way we would get this to work is that I would provide a link either through email or my webpage or a slip home. But, then the parents can look at it if they want and it would be very easy for any parent to use. No names or anything would be mentioned in the blogs so I would not need a release form or anything. This is a picture showing how easy it is to make a blog. 😻😻😻
The challenges I might face is that not everyone might not have an easy access to a computer. They might not have one at home, so they might not be able to look at the schedule as much as they would like. How I would make sure they still got to see everything is print it out and send it home with the student if they would like.
